Monteverde Cloud Forest Experience

Discover the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve with over 100 species of mammals, 400 species of birds and 2,500 species of plants on this full-day tour. In this exotic adventure you will visit a conservation project located near the Monteverde area. The Selvatura Canopy Tour is one of the finest canopy tours in the country. Its cables and platforms are built into the cloud forest rather than above it, allowing tour takers to feel truly immersed within the forested environment. In total, there are 15 cables and 18 viewing platforms that stretch over 2 miles – the longest cable length of any canopy tour in Costa Rica. Your adrenaline level is guaranteed to rise to its maximum on this tour. Miravalles Volcano
Combo Tour

The Miravalles Volcano is an andesitic stratovolcano in Costa Rica. The caldera was formed during several major explosive eruptions that produced voluminous dacitic-rhyolitic pyroclastic flows between about 1.5 and 0.6 million years ago. The only reported historical eruptive activity was a small steam explosion on the SW flank in 1946. High heat flow remains, and Miravalles is the site of the largest developed geothermal field in Costa Rica. The Miravalles Volcano reaches an elevation of 6,653 feet (2,023 m) and is the highest mountain in the Guanacaste Mountains. The heat from the volcano also helps power a geothermal energy plant at Las Hornillas, which is run by the Institute of Electricity We will drive for approximately an hour thru the Guanacaste mountain range and majestic views of the Miravalles volcano. We will continue our trip with a visit to "Las Hornillas", a place situated at the foot of the volcano, where you will see geysers all over the project. Here we will horseback ride to the forest and hike thru it for about 40 minutes to observe several waterfalls and some animals and plants. To relax after the hike we will get covered by volcanic mud and enjoy the natural hot springs that emerges from the volcano getting a beauty treatment from Mother Nature. We finish our trip with a delicious lunch and then back to the hotel.

Arenal Volcano and Hot Springs
Full Day

The 29,692-acre (12,016-ha) Arenal Volcano National Park is located within the larger 504,094-acre (204,000-ha) Arenal Conservation Area, which protects some 16 reserves between the Tilarán and Guanacaste mountain ranges. This area contains a great wealth of geologic and biological complexity, as evidenced by the active and incredible Arenal Volcano.Your vacation in Costa Rica will not be complete without visiting La Fortuna area with its active volcano and its Humid Forest, the best way to enjoy this volcano will be the hike in the Arenal Volcano national park to walk on the most resent lava flow (1992). Here you also have the chance to see some of the present activity (depending on weather conditions), plus the view from the Arenal lake, a great hike! The hike will be followed by a delicious lunch at the hot springs restaurant, then time to relax your mind and body as you enjoy the therapeutic volcanic hot water springs, surrounded by mother nature, rain forest, volcano and magnificent infrastructure of pools, waterfalls and wet bars that will make your visit to these place very pleasant. On the way back to Guanacaste, dinner will be served at a local restaurant in Tilarán Town. Hot Springs choices, Tabacón and Baldi (different rates).

Blue River

Adventure

Between the year-round warm water and the natural beauty, Costa Rica offers world-class rafting in a tropical paradise. The Colorado River is a narrow river where you will pass through canyon walls as you experience water rapids, lush vegetation, wildlife and pristine isolation. Upon your arrival you will receive safety instructions and then board your 2 person raft. You will have the option of being accompanied by a guide or have them follow you closely in another raft. This is sure to be an exciting tour for the beginner or the experienced rafter. Get ready to observe herons and iguanas basking on the riverside as howler monkeys play on the tree branches above you. You can enjoy nature and wildlife.

Palo Verde National Park

A major feature of the park is the density and variety of bird species, a major factor in the creation of the reserve, due in part to its diverse ecology, with 15 different topographical zones from evergreen forests to mangrove swamps. Birds spotted regularly in the park include Great Curassows, Scarlet Macaws, White Ibis, Roseate Spoonbills, Anhingas, Jabirus, and wood storks among many others.The natural hydrologic system of Palo Verde creates the right conditions to produce the most important concentration of birds in the country and Central America. This is a birdwatchers paradise as well as a perfect spot to see lots of crocodiles, monkeys, and reptiles, as you cruise the Tempisque River by boat. After lunch you will pass by the famous artisan village of Guaitil and learn about the Chorotega Indians and can watch the artists as they make the pottery that heritage from their Pre Columbian ancestors.

This is an adventure that will take you on isolated back roads. Then climb aboard our jungle limo 4×4 to head to the river put-in. After a thorough safety briefing, get ready to enjoy 2.5 hours of pure adrenaline where you will get over 20 fun and exciting rapids on the beautiful and impressive Red Rock Canyon.
